Web Page Layout

Naming A Web Page
When you create a new web site you will want to name the main or "lead in" page index.html. For example: http://membername.tripod.com/ would access the index.html page by default.

Basic Html Page Layout
The layout below is all that is required to have a properly formatted html document.

<html>
<head>
</head>
<body>
</body>
</html>

Of course these are the bare essentials and you will want to expand on this. Below is what all your pages should include.

<html>
<head>
<title>Title Of You Page Goes Here</title>
<meta name="keywords" content="place,some,keywords,here">
<meta name="description" content="A description of the page goes here.">
</head>
<body bgcolor="" text="" link="" vlink="" alink="">
All your page contents go here.
</body>
</html>

Let's go one step further and place the contents of the page in a table that will help your page look presentable at different screen resolutions.

<html>
<head>
<title>Title Of You Page Goes Here</title>
<meta name="keywords" content="place,some,keywords,here">
<meta name="description" content="A description of the page goes here.">
</head>
<body bgcolor="" text="" link="" vlink="" alink="">
<table width="100%">
<tr>
<td>
All your page contents go here.
</td>
</tr>
</table>
</body>
</html>
